With the Dance with Peter auditions concluded in five cities, Lagos, Abuja, Benin, Port Harcourt
and Accra, Ghana, the three judges of the show, Peter Okoye, Don Flexx and Kaffy, have
described the Lagos contestants as the most impressive.
Speaking on the quality of contestants in the auditions, Kaffy, stated: “So far for me, the quality
of contestants has been impressive. They have shown they can surely be groomed to be of the
high standard we are looking for as we progress in the show,” she said.
“Lagos surprisingly impressed me the most. This is because, from my experience as a judge on
many dance platforms, Lagos has always had all bark no bite as commercial dancing has robbed
the dancers of the zeal to work hard at improving their techniques and skill acquisition. But this
time, I feel they were more enlightened and as such have produced most of our finest for the
show,” Kaffy observed.
Her view was shared by another judge, Peter of PSquare who is the organizer of the competition.
He noted: “It's been impressive so far and I get motivated by the contestants even as a judge.
Lagos for me was the most impressive. The participants gave it their all and I can really see that
they are hungry to move to the next level.”
Professional choreographer and dance instructor, Don Flexx, also said Lagos contestants
impressed him the most.
“Lagos was by far the most impressive. I feel maybe because the city is the centre of
entertainment, a lot of opportunities to polish their skills are provided there, making it possible
for them to upgrade and update their skills when it comes to consistency.”
